The Spencer Trophy will be played for in the Birdies Section in 2015. The Baildon Junior Masters & Junior Centenary Trophy will be played for in the Eagles Section, also in 2015. This means that Jack Willis will not be able to defend his trophy next year but will be able to fight for the other two trophies on offer.
The Order of Merit continues to be played for by entering main "Gentlemen" & "Ladies" competitions either on a Saturday or a Tuesday, please ask Stuart if you are eligible to enter these competitions.
Girl & Boy Golfer of the year will be determined by how well an individual does during Sunday afternoon Junior Sessions summer 2015, the more you come the better chance you have of winning!
There will also be opportunities to win cash to spend in the pro shop too during some competitions next summer 2015.
Members continue to provide golf clubs for new juniors so if you wish to join the juniors in 2015 but don't have any clubs then please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible
It was reported in the Telegraph & Argus about the successful "Night Golf" event on the 24th October 2014.
YOUNG golfers lit up the fairways during a glow-in-the-dark round of golf.
About 20 junior members – aged five to 18 years – took part in Baildon Golf Club’s first Night Golf event.
They wore fluorescent clothing and used special glow-in-the-dark kit to play some of the holes on the moorland golf course. Different coloured lights were used to indicate tees, fairways, greens and holes.
Stuart Brooke, who runs the club’s junior section, said: “The Night Golf is a bit different and a treat for the juniors. It’s fantastic to see the junior section thriving.”
Jack Willis, nine, who has been playing golf for two years, said: “It was good fun being out in the dark.”
